
Meet our founder
Emrah Özsavaşcı, İstanbul
Born in Istanbul. He qualified in Petroleum Engineering at the Middle East Technical University in 1995 and obtained a M.Sc in Risk Assessment and Engineering Economics from the same university in 1998. As part of his M.Sc studies he worked on energy strategies in Germany. Then he joined Bilkent University as a lecturer. Later, in 2000, he joined BP and until 2017, he had the opportunity to work on strategy, business development, M&A, international investments, finance, public policy, government negotiations. In 2004 he was seconded to Petroleum Industry Association and he had a chance to work with government, regulatory authorities, as well as peer companies for the preparation of legislative framework in Turkey.
Between 2019 and 2023, he worked as an Advisor to the Country Chair at Shell Turkiye. He represented Shell in many platforms and carried out sustainability and energy transformation projects. He also completed executive educational work in the field of Sustainability and Circular Economy Strategies at the University of Cambridge.
Since 2018 he has been giving lectures at different universities, especially Özyeğin University; and giving speeches at the events of different universities, companies and non-governmental organizations.
